Just feels so dreamlike

Is it truly detrimental if nothing is in focus?

However, to me, it doesn’t feel that way—it feels like I’m in a dream.

And is it really so bad if everything is blurred and indistinguishable?

To me, that doesn’t feel that way either—it evokes a sense of nostalgia.

Have you ever had a moment when you point your camera at the city lights or back street corners, and even though it’s out of focus, you find it beautiful?

Don’t you ever feel strangely drawn to a blurred image taken by chance in a dimly lit place?

I certainly do.

Being out of focus can create a sense of fantasy for the viewer.

Even blurring can evoke a sense of melancholy.

So, although it may be a bit self-indulgent, I’ve been gradually collecting images with my camera that resemble paintings—images that aren’t in focus.

Furthermore, I’ve come to appreciate ICM (a technique where the camera is moved during exposure) photos that utilize blurring.

That’s why I’d like to share here images that would typically be considered a complete failure (photos that aren’t truly photos).

To me, they’re all captivating images.

I hope that as I enjoy these works, my own style will evolve and change.

So, please take a moment to look at my images, even if just for a moment.
